The CMU Rodeo Team is Joining Us at This Weekend’s Tour

The Colorado Mesa University Rodeo Team is our Ritchie Industries non-profit group for our Denver Walkabout Tour and will be running the weekend’s Ball Toss. The team is a newer addition to CMU, as the university has put forth a commitment to agricultural programs and equine sports.

The team will use the funds it raises at the tour for student scholarships and a unique event in which its athletes will work with nearly 100 students from its district with physical and mental developmental disabilities. “By creating a fun interaction with the rodeo athletes, we also introduce them and their families to the benefits of equine based therapies,” coach Branden Edwards says.

Members of the rodeo team will have a booth at the tour taking place at the National Western Complex, July 29th and 30th. Learn more about the team on its website.
