Returning to an Old Texas Friend

The last time the Walkabout Tour landed in Conroe, Texas, Mindy was still a regular on the road with Clinton, the Fundamentals Kit hadn’t been produced, and the idea of an app hadn’t even been dreamed about. That was back in 2009.

When the two-day event sets up camp at the Lone Star Convention and Expo Center in 2020, it’s bringing with it beefed-up learning opportunities, including a whole new training demonstration lineup. Since its introduction to the tour schedule, the Cantering With Confidence demo has become a crowd favorite. During the training session, Clinton and his clinicians work with horses who have severe issues at the three-beat gait, providing in-the-moment training fixes.

When selecting a location in Texas for the tour, our events team knew that the Lone Star Convention and Expo Center would be a perfect fit. The facility sits just 45 minutes north of Houston and 25 minutes from the Busch International Airport, and the city of Conroe is surrounded by Lake Conroe, the Same Houston National Forest and the W. Goodrich Jones State Forest, making it an ideal location for trail riders and all outdoor enthusiasts.

The tour, presented by Ritchie Automatic Waterers, will take place January 25 and 26. Tickets to the event are $25 for the weekend. As part of their membership benefits, No Worries Club members receive five complimentary tickets to tours each year. Tickets can be secured on the Downunder Horsemanship e-store or by calling the office at 888-287-7432.
